What did you do over Christmas break? I went to Arkansas to spend some time with my parents. We flew down there and celebrated Christmas with them. There's not a lot to do in Hot Springs, so I spent time on the computer, working out or reading. We came back before New Year's Eve (mainly because I missed my dogs:)) On New Year's Day I was able to play volleyball for 3 hours. Other than that, I've been cleaning house, playing with my dogs, studying and working out. Oh yeah, and RELAXING! Sounds like a great time. What did you guys do?

My break started as a whirlwind to prepare for the holidays. We left our first Thursday of my break to make "the rounds" to visit family- Arkansas for Mr. Brewer's side and Illinois for my side. I agree with Ms. Cobb that there isn't much in Arkansas to do (every place seems to close early), but we were also in the "boonies" in southwest Arkansas. We did travel through Hot Springs and both Wilson and MiKayla had a great time at the rock shop (about the only thing to do there)! Visiting both families was wonderful, but the fact of being in the van entertaining a 2 year old and a 4 year old for 14 hours one way wasn't the most relaxing, but we all survived and made it home for Christmas! Santa did find our house and I've spent the last part of break cleaning house and putting away Christmas decorations. It is hard to believe that my break is over, but I'm ready to get back to school and see my students!

I also had a great break! My mother-in-law and father-in-law came from Texas and spent 3 weeks with us. My sister-in-law also came for the week of Christmas. So, we definately had a full house. All visitors just left on January 2nd, so I am enjoying having my house back to ourselves, and of course, cleaning and putting away all the decorations. Who knows when Mr. Kelly will get the decorations put away from outside. He seems to be waiting for the perfect 50 degree day-you just may see the decorations still there in March!

Hey Erin, have you gone to see the movie "Marley and Me"? I hear it's really cute-but kind of sad at the end.
Miss Cobb

No I havn't yet because I am reading the book right now, so I want to wait till I finish the book. But I did go to the movies to see Paul Blart: Mall Cop. It is a funny movie.
Erin

So Miss Cobb, have YOU seen the movie? I haven't been to the movies since I don't know when......I am still waiting for my students to start telling us what they did for Christmas. They have told me at school, but I'm waiting to see if their story here is the exact same or if it is different. Christmas is starting to seem so long ago........... But Mrs. Gnade, I haven't heard about the new family members that you got to see on your Christmas break. Who are they?

I have seen Marley & Me and it is very cute! Especially, if you own a yellow lab...or any other breed. It is sad at the end. Bring your tissues! I loved the movie because it followed the book exactly. That doesn't happen very often these days when a book is turned into a movie. Speaking of books/movies...Whose excited about the next Harry Potter movie coming out in July???
Ms. Becker

I heard that Marley & Me was sad:( But I am excited about the new Harry Potter coming out. I wish they didn't chage the date because I really want to go see it.
Erin

This winter i got a new football jersey, new games, and i was watching football.I watched Marly and Me and it was sad at the end.
